The Latvian Museum of Natural History holds a remarkable natural history collection, and only small fraction is showcased in the exhibitions. To demonstrate specimen of, otherwise carefully stored, collections to visitors, the second Saturday of every month* is a day of "The collection specimen presentation". It is also a unique opportunity to meet the museum's scientific staff. The presentations are held in the exhibitions, and usually lasts 30 minutes per subject.
*September–May
The second Saturday of the month at 12.00 and 13.30 (subject 1) and 12.30 and 14.00 (subject 2).
